This has been an excellent summer of Tarpon Fishing. It has been very calm in the mornings and there has been plenty of tarpon around in Everglades National Park. This is one my favorite times to be on the water because there is plenty of fish around with not a lot of boats around. I consider this the second tarpon season of the year. Most of these fish are in the 30-60lb range which is typical this time of year. We have caught them on both fly and plugs. They are usually very aggressive and if you get out on the water early, you have a great chance at landing one of these silver dinosaurs.
