The snook fishng in the Everglades over the last few weeks has been as good as its been in a very long time. We are seeing loads of 14in-22in fish in the backcountry. Those fish are 2-3 years old and seems like we has a great spawn in 2015. We are catching anywhere from 30-50 snook a day on flies and plugs. The key is finding structure and moving water. When you can combine both of those two things, you are typically going to find a bunch of snook. I am using small twitch baits and small baitfish patterns for my flies. This should continue into the cooler months, which makes a trip to the Everglades well worth it!
