It’s been a while since I have been able to update my reports page. Hurricane Irma put everybody on guard as she made her way to South Florida, changing her projected tracks daily. This massive storm made landfall and debased the lower keys and Key West and then went up the west coast and hammered Everglades city and into Naples. When this storm finally left Florida, it had made an effect on the entire state. We got lucky on the east coast, as we experienced Cat 1 winds for 15 hours straight. It definitely could have been worse. My heart goes out to all the residents in the lower keys and west coast as it hit them the hardest.
I have not been out on the water since storm because of the fact that the eyeball went through Everglades National Park and caused a huge amount of damage. The park has been closed and will remain closed probably for a while. I plan on launching out of the upper keys and running to the Everglades starting tomorrow. I will definitely let you know what is going on there.
