The weather the past few week has been pretty incredible for December. It has been warm and most days we have had light winds. With the air temps being so warm, the water temps are in mid to high 70’s, which is ideal for tarpon. The tarpon fishing in the backcountry of the Everglades has been as good as I have seen in while. Lots and lots of big fish from the rivers to the north to Whitewater Bay. We have had some days hooking multiple fish up to 120lbs on fly, plugs, and bait.
The redfish and snook fishing has also been pretty good as well. Sometimes it is hard to break away from the tarpon but when we do, we have plenty of opportunities. They have also been scattered through the Glades, from the coast to deep in the sticks.
I still have a few openings for the rest of this month, so if you want to get out on the water give me a call or respond to this email.
