The great news from the weekend is the National park announced that Flamingo is back open. All the boats ramps on both sides on the marina are open and safe. That is the only thing that is open down at Flamingo. The store, visitor center, bathrooms, and camp grounds are all closed due to the damage from Hurricane Irma . That is great news for everyone who fishes out Flamingo. The park hasn’t been fished in a month and it showed. We had a great weekend of catching a bunch of tarpon and snook on fly. The fish were very aggressive and willing to eat almost everything thing that they saw. I have a few openings this week so let me know if you want to get out on the water.
