The beauty of fishing the Everglades day in and day out is you can almost always expect the unexpected. Last week we had some chilly weather for South Florida standards which resulted in some low water temperatures. When this happens sometimes you really have to work for your fish. One day last week we had one of our coldest days of the year and our first spot yielded 5 snook over 12 lbs. The absolute last thing I was thinking we would catch that day was snook! We are on a warming trend this week which should really turn on the bite. If the weather continues to hold, the big tarpon should show up any day. The redfishing on the flats remains really good and we are having really good shots on some laid up snook.
