Everglades/Miami Fly Fishing

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerDecember 11, 2014

As I sit down and write this report, we are finally experiencing some fall and early winter weather down here in South Florida. The cold fronts are moving in regularly now, which means some pretty good night fishing around Biscayne Bay. There are still plenty of mullet around, but as we move into these coolers…

Everglades Report

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerDecember 10, 2014

We have been out fishing most days over the past few weeks. This time of year you just never know what to expect as far as the weather goes. The water temps go up and down daily. We have had some days where the wind was clam and the next day gusting up to 30…

Full Moon

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerDecember 8, 2014

Fishing slowed just a bit over the last few days.  It was a full moon and we had a front roll through, which churned up the water.  I suspect the fishing to be back to normal in a day or so.   We still did manage to put some nice fish in the boat over…

Warm few weeks

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerDecember 5, 2014

It has been warm the last few weeks and I saw some tarpon the last days rolling around excatly where they should be.  We did not get any bites but with the forecast staying warm, the bite  could turn on any day.   The snook fishing continues to be awesome.

Winter time

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerDecember 2, 2014

Despite the wind, the fishing remains strong.  We are just fishing lee shorelines and staying protected.  A few more of these warm days and we may have a few tarpon rolling into town.

Windy

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerNovember 24, 2014

It’s November and its windy down here in South Florida. November and March are typically the windiest months of the year. The good thing is that you can always hide in the Glades. The snook were active this weekend and we landed a bunch of fly. With some warm days in between the fronts, it…

Sweetwater Snook

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerNovember 21, 2014

The wind has been howling the last few days and looks like it will continue for least a few more. We have been opting to fish deep in the backcountry to get somewhat protected from the wind. It is worth spending some time back there because the fishing has been pretty decent. You have to…

Cold Front

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerNovember 19, 2014

A big cold front blew through last night and the temps are down into the 50’s. That will slow the fishing down for a few days, but as soon as the temps rise the bite will turn back on again. The good thing about South Florida is the fronts don’t typically stay long.

Weekend Report

Everglades Fishing, Everglades Fishing Charters, Fishing Articles, Fishing ReportsBy Peter CelnickerNovember 17, 2014

Some great fishing was had this weekend. Had a couple of fun days catching with some great people. The redfishing continues to be strong as well as the snook fishing. There has been a few big tarpon around for anyone looking to chase them. The wind is suppose to pick uo this week which will…
