I hope everyone had a great holiday season and Happy New Year!  2025 was a great year and I want to thank everyone who fished with me.  Looking forward to another great year on the water!  Fishing down in Flamingo has been pretty darn good lately with the warmer weather we have had.  There have been a bunch of BIG tarpon in the backcountry on some of those warmer days.  I think we are in for a good year of snook fishing due to the drier conditions.  When the water falls in the backcountry, there are less places for them to hide.  It looks like we are on the way to having a drier winter down here and  that also bodes well for our peacock and Largemouth bass.
I am excited for what’s to come in the next few months,  I feel it is going to be a great year of fishing,  Give me a call or respond to this email to get out on the water!!!!

]]> The fishing down in the Everglades has been very good over the last few weeks.  We have been lucky to also have some good weather, which always makes it a little bit easier.
The big tarpon showed up this week with the calmer winds and warm temps.  They will be active in between the cold fronts that blow through every few days.  The fishing outfront on the flats has been excellent.  There has been alot of redfish and snook laying around in  the shallow water.  Always alot of fun sight fishing those guys with a fly rod or spin rod.
I still have a few days open for the rest of this year and a few scattered days going into next year.  If you want to get out for a day or two in the Everglades, just give me a call or email and we will set it up!

]]> It has been a while since my last report and I just wanted to catch up with what’s going on in the Everglades.  There is still some tarpon hanging around but looks like our first cold front is coming next week and that should mix things up a bit.  This time of year they will be active between the cold fronts.  The snook fishing has been solid with all the bait that has been in the area.  The redfishing has been really good, from the coast out to the flats.  The sight fishing outfront of Flamingo on the calmer days has been as good as I have seen in a while.  A Lot of snook and reds up shallow on the flats.
I still have plenty of open days throughout the rest of the year.  With the air temps coming down, there is nothing better than spending a day in the Everglades!  Give me a call or email to get out on the water!

]]> I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  The fishing has remained pretty solid over the last month or so.  The bigger tarpon are around out on the Gulf coast and have been pretty active.   This should be the pattern until the cold fronts start showing up around November.
The snook fishing in the backcountry has been excellent.  Lots of fish around of all sizes.  I have taken my Jon boat as far back as we can go and there has been lots of action of snook, redfish, and baby tarpon.
I have plenty of dates open over the next few weeks and into the Fall.    Fishing has been great, so give me a call or email and lets fish!

]]> The fishing over the past few weeks has been very good despite the tough weather conditions we have had.  We have had a ton of rain over the past few weeks and it seems like the baby tarpon are everywhere.  We have had some great days recently fishing for them and have caught them in places that I have never seen them in.
It has been unseasonably warm down here and the bigger tarpon are still hanging around.  When the weather allows, we have had some great days jumping fish in 40lb-80lb class.  Great fish for this time of year!
I still have some open dates in December and tarpon season is starting to fill up, so give me a call or email to get out and spend a day in the Glades.

The redfishing, snook, and baby tarpon fishing has been on fire on the lower stages of the tides.  We have been sightfishing these guys and they have been a ton of fun.  This is definitely the time of year for a slam!
As we move into the Fall, the fishing should only get better with the push of bait down the Gulf Coast.  Give me a call or  email to get out on the water!  Best part about this time of year is we rarely see another boat all day!

]]> This has been an excellent summer of Tarpon Fishing.  It has been very calm in the mornings and there has been plenty of tarpon around in Everglades National Park.  This is one my favorite times to be on the water because there is plenty of fish around with not a lot of boats around.  I consider this the second tarpon season of the year.  Most of these fish are in the 30-60lb range which is typical this time of year.  We have caught them on both fly and plugs.  They are usually very aggressive and if you get out on the water early, you have a great chance at landing one of these silver dinosaurs.

]]> This time of year is definitely a favorite for me.  I call this the second tarpon season of the year.  There are plenty of fish around and most days you have the entire place to yourself.  I think the last few trips we haven’t seen a boat all day.
The tarpon fishing has been very good with fish in the 30-60 lb range.  We have taken advantage of the calm mornings that we have had.  Getting out early is always important this time of year as the tarpon are extremely active in the morning.
The baby tarpon, snook, and redfish have also been very good this summer.  This is a great time for an Everglades slam (Tarpon, Redfish, and Snook)  which sometimes can be done at the same spot.
I just got back from a week of fly fishing for trout on the Green River in Utah with some great friends.  The fishing was incredible and the River was beautiful.  Looking forward to doing that again soon!
