This is the time of year that we have some pretty goodtarpon fishingin the backcountry as long as the weather allows. When the we have these warm days in between the fronts, the tarpon come into the backcountry to feed. These are big fish ranging from 60lbs-120lbs. On the slick days, a fly is about the only thing you can get them to eat because they can be spooky. This is definitely some of the best tarpon fishing of the year.
The snook fishing continues to be excellent. A lot of little fish mixed with also some redfish. The backcountry is alive!
