I had a last minute cancellation late last night, so I decided to write up a quick report and let everyone know how good the fishing has been. We have had some warm temps and light winds so far this week which has really turned on the bite. We have had some great tarpon fishing over the past few weeks and I am hoping it will continue. I have been spending most of the time in the Everglades backcountry looking for laid up tarpon and there has been plenty of them. We have also fished a bunch of rivers with lots of rolling tarpon. Those fish eat REALLY good! The next few months will be a great time to catch a big tarpon.
The night scene has recently turned on as well. The shrimp are consistently running on the falling tide. Where ever there are shrimp, there’s a silver giant lurking in the shadows.
